Linda Hakim recently published her October 2025 “Neighbors of San Juan Capistrano” magazine which is focused on the local SJC250 stories of the Tribal Members of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation.
The “Day of the Dead” event, filmed on 11/1/25 at the Blas Aguilar Adobe Museum and Acjachemen Cultural Center, was so amazing! SJC is a town filled with important local and California history. Here is a film of the highlights!
Our second Speaker Series with Steven Hackle PHD was nearly SOLD OUT! Below are photos created by photographers Rick Valasek and Art Hernandez
One of our SJC250 Committee members is a local winemaker from the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Chris Lobo. His wine brand, Native Hands, has been growing in popularity and Chris has been recently honored with an article in Wine Enthusiast linked below.
“I’m excited to share a newly published article that features Native Hands Wines. It is a true honor to be acknowledged as one of the nation’s very few Indigenous wine producers, particularly by such a reputable publication.”
Our first Speaker Series Event, filmed on 11/9/25 featuring local OC Historian Chris Jepsen, was a great success! Click on the video to the right to watch the entire presentation.
You can join us in this important local celebration by attending and supporting our many planned events at locations all over our beautiful town.
